Amen Brother is back and this time we are super excited to bring to you our close friend DJ Junk. Myself and Junk go back to the 80's together with out love of hip hop. Around 1992 Junk decided to start producing and was mentored by Rog from Tone Def (Moving Shadow). Using his love of classic street soul and funk breaks, John forged his own unique sound with a series of hand stamped white labels back in 1992.
So we approached Junk about continuing this series, using his own work as inspiration and to continue that bespoke handcrafted feel back into the release. So myself and John stamped the records (7 stamps in total!) which also included each record being numbered and also tagged by Junk. One of the stamps is also the original stamp used for his 1992 releases - so owners and collectors of the original series will recognise the stamp!
Only 200 copies of this has been pressed on black vinyl with white labels, inner sleeve and 3mm housebag. The quicker you check out, the more likely you will get record 001!
Taking you waaaaaay back in time!
