Around October last year Raleigh released the limited edition Chrome Burner on general sale through its website a Limited run of 550 and it sold out in less than an hour (see Raleigh's website). The RRP was £600 and within minutes they were appearing on a well known auction site for £1000+ although the price seems to have settled down to £6-800 if you can find one to buy one now.
About the Raleigh Chrome Aero Pro Burner
Originally launched in 1983, the Chrome Aero Pro Burner came back briefly in 2018 for its 35th anniversary last autumn. Every effort has been made to perfectly recreate this iconic bike with the components still available today. Manufactured by world renowned Japanese frame maker Tange, the same factory who brought you the original, some replica components have even been painstakingly reproduced to keep the bike as close to the original as possible.
The classic deep chrome frameset with black finishing components still looks as great today as it did when it was originally released; Raleigh have even managed to replicate the translucent dark copper decals! Plus it comes with a custom pad set too.
We managed to secure one and its still in its original box as it came from Raleigh and we are giving it away as part of our retro BMX T-shirt launch - everyone who buys a qualifying T-shirt by midnight 2nd November 2019 will get automatic entry into a prize draw to be held on Facebook live shortly afterwards - details to follow soon.

Our giveaway Burner was still boxed until recently but we got it out of its packaging and built it up to get some promo shots and took it on the Bournemouth Old School BMX and Retro Bike Late Summer Rideout on September 22nd so it may show some signs of light use by the time the competition ends. We are planning to announce some additional smaller prizes to add to the competition for runners up - watch this space for more details.

No cash alternative available. Terms and conditions subject to review and all decisions by those running the competition are final.
*any additional BMX prizes added to this competiton may not be a 35th Anniversary Burner but they will be decent .
