MR-004RP - Alarico - Boya EP [Repress Sleeve]

SHDW & Obscure Shape welcome Alarico back to Mutual Rytm as the Italian delivers a medley of diverse techno cuts across his latest EP, 'Boya'. The Milan-based talent combines nuances from across the genre into a fast-paced, raw yet soulful sound, and this is his first EP on the label, following his appearance on the label's VA 'Federation Of Rythm I' earlier this year.

The rugged and loopy 'AE86' fuses driving grooves with slick vocal interjections, while title cut 'Boya' veers into rawer, more metallic territory guided by snappy claps and resounding kicks. 'Killa Cut' brings the funk on the B-side with soulful vocals, 'Lost In Time' offers pulsing bass beneath ethereal vocals and sweeping melodies, and 'The Ballad of Lisa' wraps up the vinyl package with an infectious bleeping topline and off-kilter clangs.
