REKIDS299 - Tiger Stripes - A Tiger Never Loses Its Stripes (Part 1)
Tiger Stripes, aka Sweden's Mikael Nordgren, opens the 'A Tiger Never Loses Its Stripes' EP series on Rekids, previewing his upcoming sophomore album. 'Slow' is a snappy groove with weighty bass and soulful vocals, 'Twelve' picks up the pace with funky, jazz-inflected key riffs, 'Stay Hypnotic' goes dream-like with shimmering synths and glitched percussion, and 'Shape The Future' closes with a squelchy bassline and dubbed-out chord progressions.
