Ben James AKA 3rd Rail hails from Southampton, UK and this was his only release under this name, back in 1992. On remix duties is KZ1, also from Southampton who released a seminal 12” on the Adrenaline Records label in 1991. KZ1 is also a highly accomplished DJ who released many rave mixtapes back in the early 90’s as well as being the in-house photographer for the Fantazia raves around this time.

The original release of this record on Delirious Recordings, subsidiary of Chill Records commands £200 a copy on Discogs due to its blending of electro riffs and rave rhythms. These are 4 sought-after and highly lauded slabs of original UK hardcore rave brought back to life for the 21st century.

Let me take you back to 1992, via 2019! We are back on the Heritage Pressings again this month and this is one from way back in the day... a 2019 Kickstarter project to be precise. Who remembers the mighty Holy Quattro??? The bundle that kicked off the Quattro craze! 3rd Rail alongside KZ1 were a part of that bundle, release 008 on the label to be precise.
